New Mazda 3 surpasses Ford Focus head to head comparison

Ford and Mazda used to be a fairly firm until a few years ago with the oval blue own a stake in the Japanese automotive small had a great exchange of information during this period of collaboration. Now, the only evidence of their time together is diminutive Mazda2, which is basically a Fiesta hatch with different body and interior, but with more or less the same basic mechanical bits under (engines; not included Mazda has its own). Now, after the launch of the 3 age which was basically the same as the 2 that Ford uses a platform (this time one in the largest focus) and even shared his 1.6 liters (source PSA) in certain markets, Mazda diesel engines has gone its own way, with a car that is very different to the current approach and the bestas the video of Car and Driver posted here reveals.Recently I had the opportunity to take a quick test of the new 3, and although the focus is an old friend, who I admit that Japanese car was better in every way, so the low looks, to the unit and inside, 120 hp of output of the 2.0 petrol engine detuned litres put me out, as proved pokey and surprisingly frugal. Those who say that a luxury in the sense limit vehicle is, especially if the car comes with leather and all the toys that I drove one had.Make no mistake, the focus isn't bad either, but he was less than the 3 in almost all aspects. Now, look at the video--which is published after the virtual jump.By Andrei Nedelea
