Rarely you can find two cars with such as the BMW M5 with the competition package and the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S similar performance. As Jonny Lieberman and Mike Shaffer of MotorTrend discovered during its last episode Head2Head with two super sedans, are so evenly matched that at the end, the choice falls strictly on how you feel the driver at the wheel.
We have already seen the magazine take on the competition package 567hp BMW M5, but how compares the M5 rear-wheel-drive souped-up race 577HP (585PS) all-wheel-drive Mercedes E63 AMG S?
In terms of performance, the two cars are very difficult to distinguish, but the way that each car puts the power down is very different. The BMW is wild and tail-happy, while the Mercedes contains more but slightly faster thanks to its all-wheel-drive system.
